The 2008 FIERI Boston scholarship will not be offered. FIERI Boston has ended our scholarship program after 10 successful years. We are instead focusing on programming events for the community such as cultural lectures, movie nights, cooking demonstrations and more. About FIERI Boston
FIERI
Boston is an organization of students and young professionals
between the ages of 18 and 39. The goals of this organization are
to promote and preserve Italian and Italian American heritage
and culture, correct misconceptions about
Italian Americans in the media, promote networking and youth empowerment,
facilitate career opportunities for students and young professionals
and in particular, foster a deeper understanding of the value of
higher education. FIERI promotes its goals through activities such
as cultural events, community service,
mentoring programs and scholarship grants and awards to deserving
students.
About FIERI Boston Scholarship Fund
The FIERI Boston Scholarship fund
was established in 1997 to enable and encourage gifted students
to pursue their educational goals. Finalists must demonstrate a
serious interest in Italian culture, language and/or community.
After 10 very successful years, FIERI Boston has ended the scholarship program to focus on cultural and community-related event programming. Past Award Ceremonies
