Purpose of FIERI

FIERI Boston is dedicated to four major objectives:

• To preserve the Italian culture and encourage the study of Italian and Italian-American history.

• To foster the values of higher education and personal achievement in young Italian-Americans

• To facilitate career opportunities and networking relationships for young professionals

• To promote a positive image of Italian-Americans in the mass media and popular culture

FIERI Boston strives to uphold these objectives by:

• Providing our members with networking and career development opportunities

• Encouraging our members to attend Italian cinema, art exhibitions, and concerts

• Partnering with other Boston-area Italian organizations during October Italian-American Heritage Month

• Teaching our members how to play traditional Italian games such as bocce, la scopa, briscola, tombola

• Conversing in Italian at an Italian restaurant or cafe on a regular basis
